Former Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is reportedly on the shortlist to become the next England manager.
Despite Lee Carsley’s strong performance in two UEFA Nations League matches, the Football Association is still exploring other options for the head coach role.
Carsley, who was appointed on an interim basis, guided England to two 2-0 victories over the Republic of Ireland and Finland, leaving a positive impression in the team’s first games since Gareth Southgate ended his eight-year reign.

However, according to the Daily Telegraph, the FA is not ruling out the possibility of appointing a new manager once Carsley’s interim period ends in November.
Frank Lampard, now 46, is said to be one of four candidates under consideration, separate from the option of keeping Carsley as Southgate’s permanent replacement.
