Brentford midfielder Frank Onyeka has expressed his wish to see his compatriot Victor Osimhen make a move to the Premier League this summer.

Osimhen has been in sensational form for Napoli this season, netting 11 goals and providing three assists in just 16 league appearances. His performances have caught the eye of several top Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal.

Despite interest from Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain, Osimhen has openly stated his desire to eventually ply his trade in the Premier League.

During an interview with Sky Sports UK, Frank Onyeka was asked about his experience playing alongside Osimhen in the Nigeria squad during the Africa Cup of Nations and whether there was a possibility of Osimhen joining him at Brentford.

“No, no, no! He’s too expensive! He’s a really good guy but he’s someone that wants to win. He doesn’t like to lose, even in training. He always wants to push players around him and try to encourage them. He’s a fighter.

“He’s always there to help the team, fight for the team. Even when the team is down he’ll be the first man to push the team. He never gives up. For me, he was one of the best players in the tournament but people don’t really see what he does.

“Hopefully he comes to the Premier League.”
