Frederick is an Igbo man who comes from Nnewi, in the Nigerian state of Anambra, and is the first child of Igbo parents. His full name is Frederick Nnaemeka Leonard. He came from a household of two children and was born many years before his sister.

Frederick grew up in an extremely fun-filled environment because his parents had a theme park in Lagos, which is important to any child.
The Nollywood actor was born on May 1st, 1980 in the east of Nigeria. The month of May 2022 marked his 42nd birthday. He went to St. Peter’s Anglican Elementary School in Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos State for his primary schooling.
He then continued to Oregun High School in Oregun, another Lagos location. Frederick Leonard also traveled to the north of the nation to complete his biochemistry degree at the Kaduna Polytechnic in Kaduna State.
Unfortunately, he lost both of his parents and is now an orphan. In one of his interviews, he admitted that the death of his two parents, particularly his mother, has left a gap in his life.
In 2000, he lost his father, leaving their mother to shoulder the burden of family obligation. In 2016, his mother finally passed away. Before he was able to stand up again, it took him some time.

Frederick Leonard graduated from Kaduna State Polytechnic with a biochemistry degree, but he started acting in 2008. His mother wanted him to major in sciences, so he chose biochemistry to appease her.
Fortunately, he completed his education early in life and began acting in movies, which was his passion.
He is the Nollywood director and CEO of Cineworx Entertainment. In 2009, the blockbuster TV movie series “Disclosure” and the film “Indian Doctor” were responsible for his rise to fame. In addition to modeling, Frederick started his acting career in 2001.
Shortly after making his screen debut in 2001, he took a break from acting to advance his modeling career and broaden his educational background. Seven(7) years later, In 2009 was when Frederick was featured in the movie “The Indian Doctor” Since 2008 Leonard has been in plenty of films, including “Disclosure.”
Frederick Leonard feels that even though Nollywood accounts for 1.3% of Nigeria’s GDP, African cinema is more than just a way to boost any nation’s GDP. Even so, cinema is a potent medium for telling stories that can educate and promote African culture around the globe.
