Gunmen have abducted a female staff member of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kate Jonathan Akpabio, during an early morning attack on her residence in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The incident reportedly took place around 5:30 a.m. on Monday in the Rantya community.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama shared the development via his X handle on Tuesday, revealing that armed assailants stormed Akpabio’s home and forcefully took her to an undisclosed location.

According to sources quoted by Zagazola, a swift response was initiated after a distress call, with security forces — including army personnel and other law enforcement agencies — mobilised to the scene. However, the kidnappers had already escaped with their victim before help could arrive.
Authorities have since launched a search-and-rescue operation led by both military and police operatives, as efforts intensify to secure her safe release.
Kano Police Arrest Suspect In Brutal Killing Of 22-Year-Old Housewife
The Kano State Police Command has announced the arrest of the prime suspect in the gruesome murder of 22-year-old housewife, Mrs. Rumaisa Haruna, who was killed in her matrimonial home in Tsamiyar Duhuwa, Farawa Quarters, Kano, on April 6, 2025.
According to the police, Haruna was discovered by her husband, Ibrahim Mohammed, lying in a pool of blood with deep neck wounds. She was rushed to a hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
