Aliko Dangote, Chairman of Dangote Group, has stated that his refinery is fully equipped to meet Nigeria’s fuel demands, urging marketers to collect the available supply to eliminate current fuel shortages.

Speaking at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Dangote emphasized that his facility can supply 30 million liters daily and currently holds 500 million liters in reserve, enough to sustain the country for over 12 days without new imports.

He clarified that his role is limited to production and bulk supply, not retail distribution. “If marketers come forward to collect, then there will be no queues at all,” he asserted.

Dangote also highlighted the financial burden of maintaining such a large reserve, stressing the need for local collection over imports to stabilize the market.

Reiterating his commitment to the government’s fuel supply goals, he encouraged marketers to prioritize local distribution to ensure a steady fuel flow across the nation.
