Fuel Tanker Explodes in Adamawa | Daily Report Nigeria

A tanker conveying fuel to a petrol station through PZ Roundabout along Airport Road, on Monday exploded in Yola, Adamawa State capital.

The fuel compartment of the tanker owned by Conoil, reportedly detached from the truck while the driver was busy negotiating the roundabout.

Damages recorded at press time include vehicles and shops within as far as 80-meter radius all burnt down. The damage cost is yet to be evaluated.

The number of casualties could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report.

A combined team of firefighters from the state and federal fire services, Air Force, and Faro bottling company were seen working to put out the fire.
