Shanko described the loss as every parent’s worst nightmare, noting that no parent ever prays to bury their own child, as he prayed for the peaceful repose of his son’s soul.

“No parent pray to lose a child in lifetime,” the singer wrote while mourning his son.

The grieving father, however, did not disclose the cause of death or the exact date the tragic incident occurred.

Jamaldeen’s death comes only a few months after Shanko publicly celebrated the boy’s 12th birthday in December, an occasion he marked with love and pride.

At the time, the singer described Jamaldeen as an exceptional child whose presence had a deep impact on his life.

“So sad. No parent pray to lose a child in lifetime but Alhamdulilahi… Jamaldeen Emrs Atanda JNR, rest well my champ. I will surely tell you all about it when I see you again,” he wrote.

Fans, colleagues, and well-wishers have since flooded his page with condolence messages, offering prayers and words of comfort to the bereaved singer.
