The Atyap Development Association (ADA) issued an alert on Wednesday regarding the killing and burning of their communities by suspected Fulani militia.

Mr Samuel Achie, President of the ADA, stated in a statement made available to newsmen in Kaduna that Fulani militias intend to wipe out the entire chiefdom, urging the Federal Government to send security operatives immediately to protect them.

According to him, a few days after the Fulani community falsely accused them of murdering their people, hundreds of them arrived and wiped out the entire community, killing, burning houses, and kidnapping.

He claimed that the Fulanis continue to hide under the umbrella of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) and continue to annihilate their community in commando fashion.

He accused the group of disseminating false and fabricated reports in order to facilitate their evil attacks.

“It is, indeed, a pitiful situation. These people murder us, then make false press statements accusing the ADA community of attacking them.

“They seek assistance through a press release, make reinforcements, and attack our community,” he explained.

In a press statement issued on Tuesday, MACBAN’s leader, Alhaji Haruna Tugga, accused ADA members of killing their people, animals, and houses.

However, four people were confirmed killed on Tuesday night by suspected Fulani militias who attacked Sabon Kaura village in Atyap Chiefdom, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
