The final medal table for the 2023 All African Games has been released following the conclusion of the Games in Ghana over the weekend.

Egypt emerges as the top-performing nation, securing a total of 189 medals, including 101 gold, 46 silver, and 42 bronze.

In second place is Nigeria, with an impressive tally of 120 medals, comprising 47 gold, 33 silver, and 40 bronze.

South Africa clinches the third position with a total of 106 medals, including 32 gold, 32 silver, and 42 bronze.

Rounding up the top five are Algeria, securing 114 medals (29 gold, 38 silver, and 47 bronze), and Tunisia with 87 medals (21 gold, 27 silver, and 39 bronze).

Host nation Ghana occupies the sixth position in the final standings, boasting 68 medals, including 19 gold, 29 silver, and 20 bronze.

Other notable mentions in the top 10 include Morocco, Ethiopia, Mauritius, and Kenya.
