Galatasaray’s deputy chairman, İbrahim Hatipoğlu, has expressed the club’s desire to keep Victor Osimhen on a permanent basis. Osimhen, who joined the Turkish Super Lig champions on loan from Napoli earlier this month, has quickly become a key player for the team.

Despite reports suggesting that the Nigerian striker has a clause in his contract allowing him to leave for another club in January, Hatipoğlu dismissed those claims. He confirmed that Osimhen would remain with Galatasaray until at least June and hinted at plans to keep him beyond this season.

“Victor Osimhen leaving in January is out of the question,” Hatipoğlu told NTVSpor. “In fact, we are making plans to have him play next season as well. Osimhen is a Galatasaray player until June. These rumors are just distractions, aimed at shifting the focus away from enjoying his performances. He shows his commitment to Galatasaray in every match.”

Hatipoğlu also emphasized how happy Osimhen is at the club, noting that the striker’s contentment could pave the way for a longer stay. “A person plays where he is happy. He has a contract with us until the end of the season, and he is very happy to be at Galatasaray. We should be thinking about his future with the club for the coming seasons. There’s no reason to discuss a mid-season exit,” Hatipoğlu added.

Victor Osimhen has already made an impact on the pitch, providing two assists in his first two appearances for Galatasaray.
