The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), alongside members of the National Executive Committee, made a significant appearance at the Nigerian Senate on Tuesday to witness the formal defection of three Senators from Kebbi State.

During the plenary session presided over by Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau, Senators Adamu Aliero (Kebbi Central), Yahaya Abdullahi (Kebbi North), and Garba Maidoki (Kebbi South) announced their defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC. Barau welcomed the APC delegation and officially read the Senators’ defection letters to the chamber.

In their letters, the lawmakers cited unresolved internal crises within the PDP as their reason for leaving, and praised President Bola Tinubu’s leadership.
“We are convinced that the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu is working despite the daunting challenges of insecurity in the country,” the Senators stated.
