The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, has firmly denied recent allegations suggesting he is involved in a scheme to unseat the Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II.

This statement comes in response to rumors that circulated on social media, claiming Ganduje is orchestrating efforts to dethrone the Emir once again.

In a statement released on Thursday, Ganduje emphasized, “Ganduje has nothing to do with the present enthronement or dethronement of Emir Muhammad Sanusi in Kano.”

He pointed out that since leaving office as governor, he no longer has any authority over such matters, stating, “It is laughable that Ganduje, who has left office as governor for some years now, would be accused of masterminding a fresh plot to remove or enthrone an Emir.”

Ganduje also expressed that the allegations were intended to sow discord between him and President Bola Tinubu, affirming their strong partnership.

“Let me reiterate here that he has great respect for the national leader of the party, President Bola Tinubu. The relationship has been very cordial, and no amount of blackmail can destroy the solidity of the partnership,” he stated.

Recall that the Emir, Muhammad Sanusi II, was reinstated in May, four years after his previous dethronement during Ganduje’s governorship, a decision many believe was influenced by Ganduje’s administration.
