Former Kano Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje has been appointed National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Also, spokesperson for the 9th Senate, Senator Ajibola Basiru was appointed National Secretary of the ruling party.
Both were drafted in to replace Senator Abdullahi Adamu and former National Secretary, Iyiola Omisore, who resigned their positions last month.
The appointment of Ganduje and Basiru was announced at the Transcorp Hilton, venue of the APC NEC meeting, on Thursday.

Videos monitored by our correspondent showed supporters of Ganduje and Basiru in wild jubilation following their ratification.

Notable faces at the APC NEC meeting include Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello; former governor of Osun State and pioneer chairman of APC, Chief Bisi Akande; acting National Chairman of the party, Senator Abubakar Kyari; former Governor of Kano State, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje and Spokesperson for the ninth Senate, Senator Ajibola Basiru.
Meanwhile, President Bola Tinubu arrived the meeting venue escorted by a heavy security presence comprising of the Department of State Services (DSS) and other security agents.
