Doubts about Kane’s form have surfaced, especially with impressive performances from substitutes Ollie Watkins and Ivan Toney. However, Kane remains the joint-top scorer at Euro 2024 with three goals and holds the record for the most career international knockout stage goals by a European player, with nine.

Gary Neville shared, “I spoke to Wayne Rooney four or five weeks ago before the tournament started, and he said Harry Kane is the greatest England player ever. That is massive praise from someone like Rooney, who has extensive experience with England. I wouldn’t disagree. Harry Kane has been absolutely sensational. I always called him gold when he was at Tottenham because you knew he would deliver. He’s a solid character.”
