Gerard Pique Out For Two Weeks
Barcelona captain, Gerard Pique is expected to be out of the game for two weeks after suffering a calf injury during the first half of Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Athletic Bilbao.
The 34-year-old player had to be replaced by coach Ronald Koeman at San Mames.
Barca confirmed after tests on Sunday that Gerard Pique had suffered a calf injury in his left leg. The calf injury is due to the fact that he pulled the soleus muscle in his left calf.

Pique had to be taken off the pitch after just 31 minutes at San Mames. He was replaced with Ronald Araujo. The feeling of discomfort in his calf forcefully prompted him to ask Ronald Koeman if he could be replaced.
What has been said
The tests’ results confirmed that he will not make an appearance for Barcelona’s match against Getafe at Camp Nou next Sunday, August 29.
According to AS, Pique is supposed to miss only two weeks of active participation.
How will Koeman manage Eric Garcia and Pique’s absence?
Both Pique and Eric Garcia’s absence in the coming game means Ronald Koeman will have to revisit his strategies and formations on his defense for the visit of Getafe.
Ronald Araujo and Clement Lenglet both have a high chance to start the game against Michel’s team.
Eric Garcia will also be absent from the Getafe match. The Spanish teenage defender will miss the next match following the red card received due to his foul on Nico William.
