“God Gave Me Permission” – Gospel Singer Who Divorced Husband Says

A gospel artist has stirred mixed emotions as she reveals that God gave her the directives to divorce her husband.

The Ghanaian artist, Ohemaa Mercy said she saw that her marriage would be an hindrance in the way she servs God.

Speaking during an interview with Cookie Tee on TV3, she noted that she didn’t just make the decision, as she took it up to God in prayer, and he gave her the go ahead.

“I didn’t just get up one day and decide to divorce my husband. I took it to God in prayer. I was committed to doing the Lord’s work, and I knew marriage was somewhat going to hinder it. So I sought His permission and approval before deciding to divorce him,” she explained.

While also speaking, and answering the question on weather she made the first move of the marriage liquidation, she added that she initiated the divorce.

She said;

“We came to a mutual agreement about going our separate ways, and he agreed,” she added.
