Supporters of former President Goodluck Jonathan staged a protest on Monday, marching through the streets of Abuja to demand his political return.
The demonstrators converged on the headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) while the party’s National Executive Working Committee (NEWC) was in session.
Protesters carried placards and chanted slogans calling on Jonathan to “come back and save Nigeria,” reflecting their belief that the former president holds the solution to the nation’s pressing challenges.

Reports indicate that some PDP stakeholders are also pressing Jonathan to consider contesting under the party’s platform for the 2027 presidential election.
Despite the public agitation, the former president has remained silent on the matter.
