Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State addressed the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) during its peaceful protest on Tuesday, February 27.

Makinde acknowledged the hardship faced by the people and promised to be part of the generation that would fix the country.

He also responded to the NLC national president, Comrade Joe Ajero, who had claimed that no state in the country was paying wage awards to workers.

Furthermore, the Governor assured the workers that their letters of protest and complaints would be delivered to President Bola Tinubu.

The protest took place at the Total Garden Junction, Oritamefa, Ibadan.

Upon his arrival, the Oyo NLC chairman, Comrade Kayode Martins, was already addressing the crowd.

The protesters, numbering in the hundreds, welcomed him with loud cheers and applause.
