Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State narrowly escaped what could have been a tragic road accident on Sunday while travelling along the Daura-Katsina highway.
The governor’s convoy was involved in a collision as he undertook official duties across the state. His Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, confirmed in a statement that Radda survived the incident without serious injuries and is now in stable condition.
“Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, was involved in a minor road accident this evening along the Daura-Katsina Road, while carrying out his official duties in service to the people of Katsina State,” Mohammed stated.

The development brewed initial panic among residents and government officials, but relief swept through the state after confirmation that the governor’s condition was not life-threatening.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing the governor being swiftly assisted out of the vehicle before security operatives secured the scene and ensured medical checks for all involved.
The Katsina government has assured the public that Governor Radda will continue his schedule once doctors complete routine evaluations.
