Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has strongly denied rumors claiming that he has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Governor dismissed these reports as false and labeled them as attempts by mischief makers to create confusion.
In a statement issued by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Gyang Bere, Mutfwang addressed the fake news circulating on social media.
He specifically condemned a doctored photo showing him with APC governors, allegedly preparing to welcome President Bola Tinubu to Edo State, which he described as a deliberate fabrication.

The Governor emphasized his unwavering loyalty to the PDP, the party through which he was elected to serve the people of Plateau State.
He reassured his supporters that he has never considered leaving the PDP for any other political party.
Governor Mutfwang also stated that he remains committed to working with the federal government to advance the development of Plateau State while continuing consultations with PDP stakeholders to resolve internal issues affecting the party in the North Central Zone.
