A teenager identified as Seun Olarewaju has been arrested by the Ekiti State Police Command for allegedly defiling a 3-year-old girl.
The victims grandmother was also arrested after investigation revealed that she collected N50,000 to cover up the act.
ASP Sunday Abutu, Ekiti State Police Public Relations Officer, in a statement said the incident took place at Iyana Emirin Area, Off Poly Road, Ado-Ekiti.

“Investigation revealed that the suspect lured the victim into his room where he had carnal knowledge of her.
“The victim was thereafter taken to the hospital for medical examination and treatment where experts confirmed a case of penetration into her private part. He said
ASP Sunday also stated that when further investigation was carried out it was learnt that the grandmother of the victim on hearing of the incident, made a demand of N50,000 from the parents of the suspect to resolve the issue. Which she was given.
He also confirmed she had been arrested and will be charged to court alongside the suspect.
