France striker, Antoine Griezmann is thinking of retiring from international duty after head coach Didier Deschamps appoints Kylian Mbappe as the team’s new captain.
Les Bleus are also without a skipper after Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris stepped down from international duty.
L’Equipe reports that Deschamps has picked Mbappe as Lloris’ responsibility.

However, the decision has angered Griezmann, with the Atletico Madrid forward viewing himself as a strong contender for the role.
The 32-year-old has racked up 117 caps for his country since making his debut in 2014, scoring 42 goals.
Griezmann felt that his international experience, along with his loyalty to Deschamps and the fact that he would be a less divisive choice among French squad meant he should have been selected instead of Mbappe.
