A tragic incident has occurred in Flint, Michigan, where a groomsman was fatally struck by a vehicle driven by the groom, James Douglas Shirah, 22, following a wedding day argument.
It was revealed that the bride, Savanah Nicole Collier, 21, has also been charged in connection with the incident.
According to the Flint Police Department, officers responded to a “pedestrian injury crash” on East Hamilton Avenue on the evening of August 30.
At the scene, they found 29-year-old Terry Lewis Taylor, a groomsman at the couple’s wedding, suffering from severe injuries.

Taylor was rushed to the nearby Hurley Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The police investigation revealed that the groom had intentionally struck Taylor with a large SUV during an argument.

Shirah has been charged with one count of murder in the second degree, while Collier has been charged with one count of accessories.
However, the police have not elaborated on Collier’s alleged role in the incident.
Taylor’s death has left his loved ones in shock and grief. His fiancée, who is pregnant, and their three young children are now facing a devastating loss.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to cover the cost of Taylor’s funeral, with a heartfelt message from his fiancée.
It read:
“My fiancé was murdered on August 30th, 2024. He was only 29 years old… He was an amazing person, so many people love him. This was completely unexpected, and a lot of lives are affected by this loss.”
Taylor’s obituary describes him as a loving person who enjoyed fishing, music, and spending time with his family and friends.
