A groom identified as Chaturong Suksuk has reportedly gunned down his bride, and three others on their wedding day.

Suksuk, a Thai differently abled athlete and former soldier committed the crime on Saturday.

The wedding ceremony between him and Kanchana Pachunthuek took place in northeast Thailand.

It was said that the 29-year-old groom shot his 44-year-old bride, her 62-year-old mother, and 38-year-old sister before killing himself.

Suksuk was said to have left the wedding party abruptly and returned with a gun. He “was quite intoxicated at the time.”

It was learnt that stray bullets also touched two guests at the party. One unfortunately died and the other was said to have been hospitalised.

Guests at the party told police that the couple argued for the party.

It was said that Suksuk and Pachunthuek had lived together for three years before getting married.

While some guests claimed he was insecure about the age gap between them, the Police disclosed it was still speculation.

According to the Police, the late couple was working towards closing the age difference case.

Suksuk lost his right leg during his service days with the paramilitary light infantry squad that guards Thailand’s borders.
