The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Sulaiman Nguroje confirmed this to newsmen.

Sulaiman said that the police will swing into action immediately to effect the arrest of the assailants and set free the abducted.

To effect this, Sulaiman said that SP Babagana Abubakar, Head of the Police Intervention Team will coordinate Police Investigative Operation and Rescue Response.

Sulaiman has therefore appealed to members of the state to be observant and law-abiding as they carry on their various businesses.

The state PPRO also urged the citizens to acquaint the security officers of any queer behaviour within their locality.

The PPRO said: “The suspected kidnappers targeted one Alhaji Umaru of Nasarawo B, a resident of Ngurore town in Yola South LGA.”

“The criminals separated into two groups; one attacked the Police station to divert the attention of security operatives, while other group attacked Alhaji Umaru’s house and kidnapped his wife, Hauwa Umaru, and her daughter.”
