Gunmen Abduct Former PDP Chairman, 22 others in Abuja | Daily Report Nigeria

Forty armed gunmen descended upon the Kawu Community in the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), abducting former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and 22 others.

It was said that the abduction unfolded during the early hours of Thursday.

Kawu Community, settled at the intersection of Kaduna and Niger states, found itself in the crosshairs of the gunmen, who allegedly entered from the Kuyeri Forest in Kaduna State the day before.

The Deputy Speaker of the Bwari Area Council, Abdulmumini Zakari, disclosed that the attackers organized themselves into distinct groups.

Some entered the residence of District Head Alhaji Abdurrahman Danjuma Ali, abducting his son, Lukman, and his newlywed wife.

Meanwhile, another faction targeted the compound of Alhaji Alhassan Sidi Kawu, the esteemed Marafa of Kawu and the former PDP Chairman of Kawu Ward. The gunmen kidnapped him alongside his four children.

Other victims included one Sarkin Pawan Kawu, Gambo Pawa, and his two wives, along with several children.
