Gunmen Attacks APP Secretariat, Shoot Security Guard In Rivers

Tension has broken out a red men invade the Secretariat of the Action People’s Party (APP).

According to reports, the gunmen were said to have attacked at midnight at the Secretariat in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.

Confirming the attack to journalists on Wednesday, September 4, the state chairman of the party, Sunny Wokekoro noted that although the details involving the attack and shooting still remains unclear, the affected security guard is currently receiving treatment at an hospital.

He also expressed concern, as this attack comes less than a month after the party’s secretariat in the New GRA of Port Harcourt was bombed, while also noting that the police are yet to identify the culprits.

He added that he had taken journalist to the hospital to speak with the security guard who was shot, but the hospital staff prevented journalists from speaking with the victim.
