Unknown gunmen have bombed the Ideato South Local Government Area Police Headquarters in Dikenafai, Imo State.
Daily Report Nigeria gathered that the hoodlums invaded the division with heavy armory and blew up a part of the station with explosives.
They also did set free detainees at the division, after destroying the administrative office, the Divisional Police Officer’s office, as well as the reception desk.

Confirming the incident, Chairman of Ideato South LGA Interim Management Committee, Pastor Bede Ikeaka, expressed shock over the invasion.
Meanwhile, some of the released detainees have been reportedly recaptured by a local vigilante group.
The Imo State Police Command was yet to comment on the incident as of press time.
