Gunmen Invade Nasarawa University Community

Gunmen suspected to be bandits have attacked Gandu, a settlement near the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) late Monday night.

The assailants reportedly killed one person and abducted an unspecified number of villagers to an unknown destination.

DAILY REPORT NG gathered that the affected settlement house both staff and students of FULafia because of its proximity to the permanent site of the university.

The victims of the attack are yet to be identified as of the time of filing this report.

Security forces, in response to the attack, have been deployed to the area to ensure the safety and protection of residents’ lives and property
