The Anambra State Commissioner for Youth Development, Hon Patrick Aghamba, his wife, and their aide, Mr ABK Offiah, have been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.

According to sources, the assailants shot dead Offiah during the attack, which occurred while the commissioner and his wife were traveling to Abuja to attend the wedding of the daughter of the state governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo.

Although no official statement has been released by security agencies or the government, reports indicate that the commissioner, his wife, and their aide were en route to participate in the traditional wedding, which took place last weekend.

The incident has raised concerns about the safety and security of citizens in the state.

The police have yet to comment on the matter.
