Chief Irigha Brigidi, a member of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly jas reportedly been kidnapped.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that Brigidi, who represents Nembe Constituency 2 in the Bayelsa Assembly, was abducted in Azikoro town, a suburb of Yenagoa, the Bayelsa state capital.

Brigidi, who was recently sworn in is the Deputy Minority whip of the state assembly.

Meanwhile, Bayelsa State Police Command was yet to comment on the incident as of press time.

The abduction of Brigidi is said to have thrown members of the Nembe Constituency 2 and his loved ones into a sorrowful mood.
