Gunmen Kidnap Catholic Priest in Edo | Daily Report Nigeria

A Catholic priest simply identified as Rev. Father Osia, has been kidnapped in Ikabigbo community, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.

Daily Report Nigeria gathered that the clergyman was abducted by his assailants on Sunday morning, while was preparing for mass.

The hoodlums were said to have invaded his residence in the community to whisk away the priest.

According to reliable sources, the vigilante in the community already began combing the bush to in a bid to rescue the priest.

One of the men in the search party was reportedly shot by the kidnappers and was receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.

The incident was confirmed by the traditional ruler of the community, Bramah Alegeh, who explained that efforts to ensure the release of the Catholic Priest was already in place.

The incident is coming barely a day after gunmen shot dead a catholic priest on his farm in Kaduna.
