A Catholic Priest identified as Reverend Father Chinedu has been reportedly kidnapped by gunmen.
Rev. Father Chinedu was abducted along the Umunneochi axis of the Enugu-Aba-Port Harcourt Expressway.
The victim is said to be the Deputy Registrar of a private university located in Umunneochi local government area of the state.
Fr. Chinedu was abducted alongside a seminarian on their way to Enugu State.
Unconfirmed reports say that the kidnappers have contacted the school to demand for a N50m ransom.
The Catholic cleric was said to have escaped being kidnapped a few days ago on the same road.
However, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Geoffrey Ogbonna was yet to confirm the incident as of press time.
