The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, CSP Haruna Adulmalik have been abducted by unknown gunmen.
Adulmalik was kidnapped around on Thursday along Bakyano-Arikya road while he was returning from supervision of officers deployed to provide security along the road.
It was gathered that the DPO ran into the kidnappers who ambushed his patrol hilux and whisked him away.

According to reports, the kidnappers have contacted the family of the victim, demanding N5m ransom for his release.
The Overseer of Akun Development area of Nasarawa Eggon local government, Hon Moses Anvah, who confirmed abduction of the DPO, said they have made a formal complaint to the Commissioner of Police.
Deputy Chairman of Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area, Engr Benjamin Kuze, also confirmed the incident to The Nation.
