The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Paul Omotosho, has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that Omotosho was kidnapped along the Agbado-Imesi-Ekiti road in Gbonyin Local Government Area of the state, on Saturday evening.

A close source, who confirmed the development to newsmen, stated that Omotosho, who is from Imesi-Ekiti, was on his way to his hometown when the gunmen ambushed his vehicle with sporadic gunshots before taking whiskey him away.

The state APC Publicity Secretary, Segun Dipe, also confirmed the incident.
