Gunmen Kidnap Governorship Candidate in Anambra
Gunmen have reportedly kidnapped the gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party in the forthcoming elections in Anambra State, Obiora Agbasimelo.
Recall that the governorship election in Anambra is slated for November 6, 2021.

Agbasimelo emerged as the LP flag bearer after a primary election held in the state months ago.
Agbasimelo’s emergence was greeted with a crisis in the party with another aspirant in the primaries, Nnamdi Nnoruka kidnapped and allegedly forced to withdraw from the contest.
Meanwhile, a man was beheaded by unknown gunmen in the Nkpor area of Anambra state on Tuesday.
Also, Dr. Chike Akunyili, husband to late former Information Minister, Prof Dora Akunyili was shot dead alongside eight other persons in Nkpor, Anambra state.
