Gunmen Kidnap Traditional Ruler in Imo

Unknown gunmen have abducted
Eze Henry Madumere, Ezi – Mbieri Autonomous Community in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of the State.

Eze Henry, who is father to former Imo Deputy Governor was whisked away on Friday morning.

He was reportedly kidnapped around Iho Community, Ikeduru Local Government Area of the State.

The traditional ruler was said to have been ambushed by his assailants while on the way to a funeral.

Sources say the hoodlums shot sporadically to scare residents and dragged the victim out of his car, before driving him to an unknown location.

Confirming the incident, Prince Eze Madumere, former deputy governor of the state said his father’s kidnappers have contacted the family.

The Police Public Relations Officer of Imo, Michael Abattam, confirmed the incident, assuring that adequate machinery has been put in place to track down the culprits.
