Gunmen on Wednesday night killed 3 police officers at the New Haven area of Enugu North Council of the state capital.
According to a source, the attack happened around 10:30 pm in front of St. Francis Supermarket at Block Bus stop.
The gunmen, who were believed to be armed robbers stormed the area and engaged the policemen on stop-and-search duty in a gun duel.

Two civilians were also shot dead during the gun duel.
The hoodlums also carted away the guns of the slain guns and abducted one person.
The Enugu State Police Command is yet to issue a statement on the incident as of press time.
