A youth leader of the Peoples Democratic Party simply identified as Bem, was shot dead at Asase 1, in the North-Bank suburb of Makurdi, Benue State.
Been was killed by yet-to-be identified gunmen about 8an on Saturday morning.
He was the PDP youth leader of Agan ward in Makurdi local government area of the state.

An eyewitness told newsmen that the area was known for criminal activities.
“There is hardly any day you won’t hear of killings in some parts of Northbank. It’s either the cultists are fighting themselves or criminals are dispossessing victims and killing them in the process.
“Some innocent lives have been wasted in this area. This young man too was felled by a bullet this morning but I can’t precisely say who his killers were,” the witness said.
