Suspected gunmen have reportedly murdered Francis Kolubo, the Amayanabo of Kalaba community in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, who was abducted recently in the state.

According to newsmen, the said gang of criminals also killed Samuel Oburo, chairman of the Community Development Committee (CDC).

The gunmen’s attack was after Kalaba community leaders refused them from setting up
an illegal bunkering camp in the land.

A reliable source added that the paramount ruler was kidnapped from his palace on Sunday to an unknown destination where he was murdered, while the CDC chairman was dragged out of his house and brutally killed in his backyard.

Further investigations remain pending as the Bayelsa Police Command Spokesman, SP. Asinim Butswat is yet to confirm the incident due to his busy schedule.
