Gunmen Open Fire On Clergyman In Taraba | Daily Report Nigeria

A group of unknown gunmen have opened fire on a clergyman in Taraba state, leading to his death.

According to reports, the incident, which was reported to have happened in the Jerbanbur area of Jalingo, Taraba State.

Confirming the incident to newsmen, the state police spokesperson, Abdullahi Usman said unlike other gunmen cases who abduct their victim and demand ransom, these gunmen simply opened fire on the man and left.

The victim reportedly succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment in the hospital.

The PPRO, while sending condolence messages to the family members of the deceased, he further assured the family and other residents that the police are actively working to apprehend the culprits.
