A gang of suspected armed robbers have attacked a Catholic priest in ibadan.
According to reports, the priest, identified as Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Ogboli of St. Felix Catholic Church, Oluyole, was robbed of the sum of N250,000 he had withdrawn from the bank.
This happened on Monday, April 14, 2025 along Ring Road, Ibadan, Oyo state.
Security analyst, Zagazola Makama who confirmed the incident said the priest was riding a commercial motorcycle with the money when he was boycotted and shot in the thigh.
Reacting to a distress call received from the area, the police moved swiftly to the location, and the victim was rushed to Divine Hospital, Oluyole, before being referred to Adeoyo State Hospital for further medical attention.
The police have however launched an investigation and manhunt for the fleeing suspects.
