Ghanaian singer Jackline Acheampong, also known as Gyakie, revealed that she prefers not to date any of her colleagues in the music industry.
In a recent interview with 3FM in Accra, she expressed her belief that maintaining romantic relationships within the same field might pose challenges.
“Love is a beautiful thing. I wouldn’t say its wrong, but at the same time, right now, I wouldn’t advise myself to be with someone in my industry,” she said.
Despite her stance, Gyakie has not been publicly linked to any romantic partner.
In 2021, rumors circulated suggesting a romantic involvement between Gyakie and Nigerian singer Omah Lay. However, it was later revealed that the rumors were merely publicity stunts for their collaboration on the remix of “Forever.”
