On Sunday, Bayern Munich’s striker Harry Kane made history in the Bundesliga by becoming the highest-scoring debutant, notching up his 31st goal in just 26 appearances.
Kane’s remarkable achievement comes after his move from Tottenham Hotspur to Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023, defying all expectations. He surpassed the previous record held by former Hamburger SV striker Uwe Seeler, who had scored 30 goals.
In Bayern Munich’s 5-2 victory against Darmstadt, Kane showcased his prowess by scoring the equalizer in the first half and adding another goal in added time.
Despite Harry Kane stellar performance, Bayern Munich faces the possibility of ending the season without any silverware, currently trailing in second place in the Bundesliga and already eliminated from the DFB Pokal.
Nonetheless, they are still contenders in the UEFA Champions League, where they are set to clash with Arsenal in the quarterfinals.
