Photos and videos captured by Saheed Olugbon showed a large number of security officers and vehicles stationed at the toll gate.

The protesters were demanding an end to bad governance and were not deterred by the heavy security presence.

“We will not be silenced or intimidated,” said one of the protesters. “We will continue to demand our rights and justice for the people of Nigeria.”

The protest was part of a nationwide demonstration against bad governance and was witnessed in several other states across the country.

In Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, security was also beefed up as protesters took to the streets to demand an end to bad governance.

The protests were peaceful, but the heavy security presence was noticeable in several states across the country.

The protesters are demanding an end to bad governance and are calling on the government to address the country’s economic woes and ensure that citizens’ basic needs are met.
