Police Officer Defrauds Businessman N128m

A herbalist, Ganiyu Kehinde, has confessed to killing his friend, Emmanuel Collins, in Osun State, saying he was pushed by the devil to commit the crime for a money ritual.

Kehinde was paraded by the police at the Osun Command’s headquarters in Osogbo on Friday, alongside other suspects arrested for various crimes.

According to the police, Kehinde slaughtered Collins, a 35-year-old Ghanaian, with a kitchen knife while he was sleeping, and then removed his throat, which he dried for three days before burning it in a clay pot with ritual materials.

“I am a herbalist. The deceased was my friend. I could not tell what came over me. I met him sick, and I attacked him and killed him for a money ritual. The devil pushed me to kill my friend for a money ritual,” Kehinde said.

The police spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, said the investigation was ongoing and that Kehinde would be charged to court upon its completion.
