HERDSMEN ATTACK: Benue Community Mourns, Holds Mass Burial for Victims

Residents have been thrown into mourning and anguish following a recent herdsmen attack in Benue state.

According to reports, armed herdsmen invaded a community in Benue state, killing ten victims in the process.

The attack was reported to have happened in Otobi Akpa community, Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State, on April 15, 2025.

In recent news, the victims are laid to rest today, Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Methodist Primary School in Otobi Akpa.

Speaking during the burial while addressing the victim’s families, the Chairman of Otukpo LGA, Maxwell Ogiri called on the government for help, as he described the incident as a dark time for the community.
