Honest NAHCO Worker Returns $10,000 Found in Plane
An employee at the Nigeria Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) has been widely praised for his integrity after he returned $10,000 he found while cleaning an aircraft at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano.
The $10,000, equivalent to about N16 million, was discovered during Auwal Dankode’s routine duties.
Upon finding the money, Dankode immediately reported it to the airline company’s manager, setting off a search for the rightful owner.
His swift and honest action has garnered admiration from many, including security analyst and counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makaman, who shared the story on the X platform on Wednesday.

Makaman admired Dankode’s strong moral character, adding that he is well-known in his hometown of Kode in Kano State for his deep religious faith and unwavering honesty.

As the search for the owner of the money continues, Makaman disclosed that Dankode’s actions serve as a powerful reminder of the positive impact that even small acts of honesty can have.
