A couple have been gruesomely murdered by unknown assailant in Abia.

Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the couple were found with their head dismembered in the Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.
A couple, identified as Mr. Jacob Udo, and Mrs. Comfort Udo, have been found murdered in their home in Abia state.
According to reports from the spokesperson of the state command, ASP Maureen Chinaka, the couple were found dismembered in their home in Etiti Ulo, in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, on Tuesday night, October 1, 2024.

She said;
“Yes, we received the report yesterday at Bende Divisional Headquarters. The crime scene has been visited, exhibits recovered, and the bodies deposited at the mortuary. Investigation is ongoing,”
Also condemning the act through a statement released through his Chief Press Secretary, Levinus Nwabughiogu, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu describe the act as being “horrific and senseless.

“The brutal m8rder of Mr Jacob Udo and his wife is an affront to humanity. No grievance or dispute can justify such violence,” Kalu stated.
“I urge the authorities to ensure that the culprits are brought to justice. We must all stand together against acts of violence and extremism while promoting tolerance and peaceful resolution of conflicts.
“While we understand the pain and emotions surrounding this tragedy, we must avoid actions that will escalate tensions. Violence will only breed further division and suffering” he added
