Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bisi Akande, has narrated how Atiku Abubakar, asked Bola Tinubu, former governor of Lagos state for money in 2007.
Akande, former Interim Chairman of the APC narrated that during a meeting that members of AC had with Atiku, who was Presidential candidate of the defunct Action Congress, AC would direct them to ask Tinubu for money, whenever the need came.
Akande disclosed this in his autobiography, “My Participation,”
According to him: “What prompted us was that anytime we said we needed money, Atiku would say ‘Bola, please help us’.

“Bola was the only one spending the money among us. The rest of us were poor.
“Tinubu also put all his energy and resources into the formation of the AC and we felt he deserved a spot on the ticket.”
